Before treatment:
The patient was found to have a high blood sugar level 5 years ago and he was diagnosed with Diabetes type II. The doctor prescribed medicines but 6 months ago his blood sugar level had risen higher to 15mmol/L. He takes two tabs twice a day and his blood sugar level is controlled around 6-14mmol/L.

Admission PE:
Bp: 123/81mmHg, Hr: 66/min. Height 174 cm, weight 79 Kg. Nutrition status is good with normal physical development. There is no injury or bleeding spots of his skin and mucosa, no blausucht and no tonsil swelling. The chest development is normal, the respiratory sounds in both lungs were clear and there was no dry or moist rales. The heart beat is powerful with regular cardiac rhythm and with no obvious murmur in the valves. The abdomen was bulging and soft with no masses or tenderness. The liver and spleen were normal, shifting dullness is negative. The spinal column is normal and  there was no edema in the legs.

Nervous System Examination:
Patient was alert and his mental status is good. His memory, orientation and calculation ability were normal. Both pupils were equal in size and round, react well to light and the eyeballs can move freely. Bilateral forehead wrinkle and nasolabial fold are symmetrical. His tongue can move as normal and the soft palate can lift as normal. Neck was soft, without resistance and he can shrug normally. Muscle power of the 4 limbs were normal, muscle tone was normal. Tendon reflex of the 4 limbs were normal. Bilateral Palm-jerk reflex were positive and the Bilateral pathological reflex were negative. The coordinate movements were normal. The meningeal irritation sign is negative.

Treatment:
After the admission, he received related examinations and diagnosed with Diabetes (type 2). He received 3 times nerve regeneration treatment to improve the pancreas function and improve blood circulation. This was done along with rehabilitation training.     

Post-treatment:
After 7 days of treatment his blood sugar level is controlled well. His fasting blood glucose is 5-6mmol/L and 2 hours after a meal  it is 7-9mmol/L. He takes one tab twice a day and has better spirit and energy.
