Parents of a child with brain injury after stem cell treatment are excited to see that various indicators of his weakened body are trending towards normalcy.

Recently, Wu Medical Center successfully treated a three-year-old boy named Liam Świderski, who suffered from severe brain injury due to preterm birth-related brain hemorrhage. After the unique stem cell treatment and rehabilitation customized by Dr. Wu’ s team, Liam’s parents are now excited to see that his severe motor function, cognitive function, and visual dysfunction, as well as his delayed growth and development, have all significantly improved.

At the time of admission, various physical exams of Liam showed that he was relatively weak. However, happily, after a period of treatment and rehabilitation, his ability to control his mental state and emotional expression has improved, his crying has decreased significantly, his reaction speed has increased, his ability to focus his gaze has lengthened, his ability to swallow and chew food has significantly improved.

In addition, Liam’s height has increased from 85.5 cm to 91 cm, and his weight has increased from 9 kg to 12 kg. His limb muscle strength has increased from level 4 to level 5, and his muscle tone has decreased to a normal range compared to before treatment. He is now able to grasp toys with both hands, and spasticity in his lower limbs has also significantly improved. All these improvements show a significant improvement in his condition.

After the treatment, Liam’s heart rate and rhythm have both significantly improved, and the irregularities in his heart rhythm have also noticeably decreased.
